Happy Monday everyone! What a wonderful and busy day we have had! We started off our morning with songs, prayer, and laughter during our Opening Celebration. Everyone is energized and ready for a week of hard work and sharing the gospel.
Today was our first day working at the job sites. We have 8 worksites, 8 construction squads, 2 ministry squads, and over 150 participants between our Mission Serve and Serve 365 projects. Many of the participants returned back to the church telling that they truly feel like they are needed here in Birmingham and are going to make a difference in the lives of many this week.
After a successful and tiring day our participants ended their day with a moving time of worship. Thomas Herman, our speaker, reminded us that we have been called to share the Word so we need to live a life through the eyes of Jesus Christ. He also challenged us to show compassion to others and to do it in the name of the Lord because He wants us to be a part of the harvest.
Please pray for the safety of our participants and leaders, and pray for the lives that are touched this week.
