What a terrific Thursday we had here in Birmingham!

All of the squads set out to their job sites very early this morning ready to accomplish a lot of work, and they did just that! A few of the squads were able to completely finish at their homes. We are excited to see all of the completed homes tomorrow.

This afternoon we were able to do something a little different: we went to a local park and shared the gospel with people from the community. We were able to praise Jesus’ name by passing out tracts, singing songs, and Thomas shared a short message about the joy that comes from accepting Christ into your life.

To begin worship tonight Thomas read from Psalm 139:13-14. Thomas talked to us about how our identity is not found in anything we have done, but that it is found through Jesus Christ. In today’s world we spend a lot of time trying to mold ourselves to look a certain way to others. But we were reminded that each of is one of a kind and we were created in the image of God. Once saved we are never stagnant, we are either growing closer to Him or growing further from Him. Finally we were asked what would it be like if we lived our life like the Lord? As we continue working on our sites and in this community, God continues to work in us.

Please pray for a safe and successful last day at the work sites.
