Welcome to Forest City!
We are very thankful that all of our churches from North Carolina, Michigan, Maryland, and Virginia were able to arrive here safely this afternoon.
Once everyone was settled in we had our Opening Celebration! During this time participants sang, played games, and worshipped while our band played several songs.
During worship tonight our speaker, Rusty Stroupe, talked to us about how we filter many things in our lives in order to look a certain way. He also read from Romans 1:20 and James 2:19. Through this scripture, Rusty then explained how nothing we do is so bad that God can’t forgive us, and how we don’t have to do anything to gain this forgiveness because of God’s amazing grace.
We are very excited that tomorrow each of our squads will be attending services at local churches. These churches are also graciously providing lunches for all of our squads this week! We are so thankful for the community of Forest City and all that they have done for us already this week.
We are all really eager to start serving and spreading the word of God this week!
