Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today our participants continued to work extra hard on their work sites, as they are trying to beat the rain that we are expected to have the rest of the week.

Our painting squad, Golf is almost done with their project, and should have their job completed by tomorrow! It is amazing how much you can get done when you work together.

Tonight we had our Concert of Prayer service. These services are always special, as they give us the opportunity to reflect and praise God for all that He has done for us. We read from Isaiah 6, which tells us that our sins have been atoned for. We also learned that in this scripture that we need to be joyous to be sent and witness to others.

Tonight, we read where we need to let go of our anxieties and cares onto God, which is found in 1 Peter 5:7. We demonstrated this by taking our stones and casting them into a bucket, showing that we are willing to let go of our baggage and give it all to God.

During this time, we took the opportunity to praise God and thank Him for who He is. Students stood up and filled in the sentence “God You are ___.”

Tomorrow our participants will have a well deserved afternoon off, as they have all been working hard to complete their projects. It has been a successful day today in Huntsville, and we will continue to have a great week thanks to our awesome participants!
