Happy Monday everyone!

We had a successful first day today in Knoxville, Tennessee! We started off the day with the Great Send Off to get our squads pumped and ready for the week!

They have all made excellent progress today. This week we have sixteen squads working on various sites. Many of these sites include repairing roofs, building decks, and painting.

Tonight our band led by Kevin Payne began our worship service followed by a message by Shaun Greeson. Our scripture tonight came from Matthew 9:35-38. In this scripture we learned that when Jesus was looking into the multitudes, He had compassion for everyone there.

He was able to see their hurt, and who they really were as people. Jesus felt compassion for them because He knew they were unaware of how they were living, since they are described as being sheep without a shepherd.

All of our participants are ready to go and excited for another day’s work on the sites tomorrow!
