What a great day it has been in Forest City!

It’s been another busy day in this small town, and everyone has been working hard on their worksites! Today, all of the squads went out this morning at 7 am, and worked hard on their houses until lunch time. Some squads had already finished one worksite in the past two days, and had been moved to a second house already! This truly attests to how hard the participants work when they are out on sites, even despite the heat.

After lunch, all the squads came back to the church to prepare for their night off. Tonight, we had churches plan a fun outing for their youth and chaperones, with churches going to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and even an arcade nearby. This was a special time for the youth group to hang out with each other, and focus more on their church and the bond that they have.

Tomorrow is another busy day for the participants! Breakfast is bright and early at 6am, and a full day of work follows. This is the time during the week where participants will get tired, and not as motivated to work as hard, One thing you can do to keep them motivated is send them ServeMail by clicking here. A note from home is always encouraging, and it will keep the students motivated to do their best. Also, be sure to follow us on Facebook,Twitter,Instagram, and Snapchat to keep up with the latest news and pictures from Mission Serve!
