Happy Thursday from the Forest City group!

Today was another busy day on the worksite as more groups finished up some more homes. The ones that finished today will go to another house tomorrow, and finish that one up with the help of different squads. This group of youth are no strangers to hard work! So far, We have completed a  total of 17 projects, with more finishing up tomorrow. That’s an amazing feat for these participants and they have risen to the challenge!

Tonight at worship, Rusty asked the participants if they were truly serious about their faith. He told the participants that even if they were serious about their faith, that sometimes they would fall. The good news in that statement though was if you were a Child of God, you would fall in the arms of Jesus. He reminded us that no one was perfect and there would be hardships in our life if we were serious about our faith, but that shouldn’t stop us. As Rusty put it, “You don’t know how much you need Jesus until all you have is Jesus.” He told the participants that the way to have a better relationship with God is to move closer to Him, because He didn’t move.

It’s so hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day on the worksite! That means it is also the last chance to send your participant ServeMail!! The mailbox will close tomorrow night at 9:30pm, so be sure to send your ServeMail before then!

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat for more stories and updates on projects!
