We have had a marvelous Monday here in Forest City!

To start off our first day at the worksites we began with our Great Send Off.  This was a lot of fun and we had a time of prayer to get everyone ready for the wonderful week ahead.

This week we have squads repairing roofs, building ramps, and we also have a squad that is helping at a local soup kitchen and Salvation Army.

Tonight during our time of worship, the message was about the Jesus filter that we all should strive to have. These filters block out the things like judging others, that take us further away from Christ and help us to live a life more like Him.

Rusty, our speaker, also reminded us that we are valuable because we have been broken and God has put us back together, and that we need to treat everyone that are in our lives as a precious person from God, because that is what they are.

Make sure you’re following us on FacebookInstagram, Twitter, and Snapchat! You can send words of encouragement to the participants this week by sending them Servemail.

Your Summer Staff,

Jordan, Pat, and Lindsey
