Good Afternoon from Juana Díaz!
Monday morning our students headed out for their first day on their sites. Each squad met their homeowners, learned their plans for the week, and got to work! They got a lot done before the rain came in. When it rained, the squads headed over to our local helping church, Iglesia Bautista El Messia, to clean and help in any way they could. The rain did not hold them back. They got a lot accomplished!
Once our hard workers got back, we all joined in fellowship to eat a filling meal prepared by our awesome cook team! After dinner, the band lead us in worship with meaningful songs such as ‘Fighting for Us’. Jared gave a message on living spirit filled lives. He read from Acts 9:17-19. He explained that with the Holy spirit we get the power, perspective, and protection of God.
Our tired participants went to bed after youth group devotions ready for the next day of work. Please keep them in your prayers as they fulfill God’s will this week. Also, don’t forget to send your encouraging words through ServeMail!
