Hola from Juana Diaz!
What an incredible first day in Puerto Rico. Our four church groups- Northport Baptist, Eatons Baptist, Polkville Baptist, and Flint Groves Baptist- all arrived safely on this beautiful island. After arrival, we enjoyed dinner and fellowship with our new family for the week. We worshiped all together under the leadership of our Northport Praise Team and speaker, Chris Howell. Chris challenged us to look at our vertical relationship with Christ in preparation for sharing the Gospel through our words and actions this week.
We will be building and repairing five homes this week under the leadership of local construction coordinator, Victor Morales. Victor has led groups here for over 20 years and built over 500 homes in this town.
It is such an incredible blessing to be a part of how God is moving in this city. Please pray for our participants, the people we will encounter this week, and the work that is to be done. For now, we are going to rest in preparation for a wonderful week!
