Happy Saturday!
Our participants arrived today and settled in to their new home for the week- Colleton County High School. We are so excited to welcome FBC Hixson, Fountain Church, Kings Baptist, Grace Church, Millstead Baptist Church, and Mansfield Baptist Church to Walterboro, the front porch of the South Carolina lowcountry.
After settling in, our participants enjoyed a fun filled welcome celebration with games, music, and information about the week. Later on, our band and speaker kicked off our week of worship by introducing our week’s theme, community. Our speaker, Tracey Turner, helped us look at Acts 2:42-47 to see how the people in Acts devoted themselves to the Gospel, each other, and prayer.
Tomorrow morning our participants will meet with their squads for the first time and visit local churches for worship and lunch. Please pray for our squads as they begin to get to know one another and prepare for a week of hard work and ministry. We are so excited about how God is going to move in this community this week!
