Happy Sunday!

Today was a great day in Walterboro, South Carolina! Our squads met for the very first time this morning. Local churches met with each squad today to bring them to their own houses of worship. After lunch at our host churches, our squads came back to the school for a restful afternoon of preparation for the work week. Tracey, our worship speaker, spoke tonight on Colossians 3:12-17 explaining that surrendering to Jesus allows us to pick up the pieces of our sin and create peace in our hearts.

The students and leaders are all tucked in and getting plenty of sleep to prepare for tomorrow. Bright and early, our 15 squads will head out to begin roofing projects, ramps, siding, and community projects. We ask that you be in prayer this week for our participants and staff. Please pray for life change in our participants and in the Walterboro community. Please pray for safety and good health. Please pray that God will move in this community and point Walterboro to Him.

If you look at the end of this post at our pictures from today, you will see a picture of a piece of artwork with a picture and labor provided by sign. This display was given to us from a Walterboro homeowner who received a new ramp and roof through Mission Serve in 2015. He wanted to find a way to show how the squads were the hands of God to him. What a powerful example of how our ministry impacts local lives!
