Happy Saturday!
All of our participants arrived today in Wilmington in their home away from home for the week! Central Baptist, Covenant Community Church, Millbrook Baptist Church, Polkville Baptist Church, and Powhatan Community Church will be here with us this week and we are so excited for them to have arrived today.
Once everyone was all settled into their rooms, our participants gathered for a fun filled opening celebration of games, music, and details about the week. Later on, the Justin Teseniar Band and Nathan Tuttle, the speaker, led us in worship. Nathan challenged the participants to get out of their boat, or face their fears, and walk on water like Peter did in Matthew 14.
After worship, our 15 squads met together for the first time. Community has already started forming this week and it’s only day 1! We ask that you be in prayer for all of our participants as they get to know one another and as they go out into the community tomorrow for Sunday morning worship and visit their worksites. We are so excited and expectant of how God is going to move this week in the community of Wilmington!
